Is your Windows Key stuck or messing up? when you hit Esc does it bring up your start menu?

Weird issues like this can usually be solved by a reboot. Also, I have seen keybord issues from static electricty. For example, a user with no mat under her chair, on carpeting, shuffles feet a lot at her desk. That was kind of funny. Also, we buy keyboards here at work that have a lifetime guarantee. Every once in a while I have to RMA one. After making the user swear that they didn't spill anything on it of course.......

Well, I have now re-booted the PC, so the problem is no longer there, BUT thanks to your advice I now know that the Windows key must be what is causing that, cause when I hold it down I get the same problems. The thing is, I don't think the key was stuck. It never appeared stuck, and I never hit the key... And when I re-boot everything is fine!! This is only the second time this has ever happened to me, but it was still annoying. Next time IF it happens I will experiment with that button. Thanks for your help!!!!!

lol, I generally sit cross legged. I am a wee bit too petite to get a chair to the right height to put my feet on the floor.:D

G/Day
Reminds me of a tale, a colleague told, when he was a Typewriter tech in the '70's.

Attended a call, where a typist claimed her typewriter was adding letters it shouldn't, and at times typing of it's own accord.

Checked the m/c out, ok.
Finding no fault, he asked the typist to demonsrate her typing style.

He noted that this lass, was rather short, although, rather fullsome of breast.

He suggested she might alight her chair a moment, whereupon he dove down, and wound same chair up, about 2 Inches.

He then had her try the m/c again. To agreeable smiles all round, it worked perfectly.

He still wonders, if she twigged to the problem.

ChrsR.

PS. Have you figured the problem?

Disassemble the keyboard and take it with you on your next shower and clean it out. After the keyboard's nice and clean, let the keyboard sit for a day to let it dry thoroughly. If you're in a big rush to use the keyboard again, which I'm sure you will be if this is the only keyboard you have, get a blow dryer and dry the keyboard. That's what I do...

WARNING: If the keyboard isn't completely dried and you reconnect it for use, there's a likely chance you'll fry the keyboard!

Well, I havn't figured out the problem yet.. But that is because it never really happens... My keyboard is not dirty, its very clean actually.. I got it not to long ago and it is still as clean as it was right out of the box.
