First have you made the Ghost boot disk? If not make it now and leave it in the floppy drive and reboot, it is pretty streight forward after that, (use disk to disk)

Starting from W98 boot disk w/cd support and Ghost disk in drive---type ghostpe at D: Ghost starts
disk----to----disk
Select local source drive = drive 1
Select destination drive - drive 2
Destination drive details:
Part 1 primary new size 19641 old size 9789
Part 2 logical new size 19618 old size 9789
(I created 4 equal partitions in a 40g why is it changing them?)
at this point I cant go furthur, clicking enter puts me thru the selections and doesnt execute the command to copy, what am I doing wrong???

try partition to partition.

that should work. or you could just make and image of the 20 and throw it on the 20. then load the image on to the 40

I would just make an image of your C drive to the second partition on your new drive. So do a local->partition->to image, pick your current drive, pick your destination drive, choose a name and it should go. Where I work, we rarely do disk to disk. It's easier to create an image on another disk(in our case, the server) and then get the image from there. When I changed HD's, I created a partition that's dedicated to holding ghost images on my new drive. Ghosted my 3 old partitions to the ghost partition on my new drive, took out my old drive, set my new one to master, booted up with a floppy, restored my drives and rebooted! Good luck!!

Finally got it to work---using partition to partition after reformatting new drive to a single 40g part from the 4 equal 10g sized parts I wanted---oh well...im sure I could have done it the way I wanted to, but I in my limited capacity couldnt figure it out...
thanks for your help guys :-)
