I have the GA-5ax mobo board (the atx version of your mobo) and am running a k63+ 450 @550 and i know of people who are using the same mobo as you who are also running k63 and k63+ chips without a prob. You can also run all k62's....but will get much better performance from a k63 or k63+(make sure you have the latest version of bios)
GA-5ax ver 4.1
k63+ 450 @550
voodoo3 2000 pci @ 170
Maxtor 30 gig ata 100 7200 rpm
Promise ata 100 controler card
196 mb /pc133 memory
Hope this helps ya

pistolpete,
I can't believe you're still asking about this and creating a new thread about the same thing! I gave you all the info you could possibly need after I took the time to do a search for your motherboard on my time. This is something that you could've done just as easily on your own. One of the links I gave you was to the page with all the user manuals (showing all the jumper settings for all k6-2 and K6-3 CPU's, hint, hint!) on it and I informed you that you needed to determine which PCB build you have so that you would be sure to get the proper manual, and, therefore, the proper jumper settings. The fact is, there is just so much we can do for you and a point at which you need to start doing for yourself. If there was something you were confused or unsure about, you should've posted that in the original thread so that we could help you sort it out. Of course, I'm sure if you go to enough forums and post enough requests for help, you may actually find someone to come to your house and do all of this for you. But I don't think I'd hold my breath if I were you.
