General Question - I Need A New Laptop

I am looking for a name brand (not a clone) laptop that has a built-in voice/data/fax modem, sound blaster 16 compatible sound card w/speakers, CD-ROM, floppy drive, one serial port, one parallel port, one USB port, video out, 10mbps nic, and if possible ps/2 mouse port. I can find most of these options on a Acer laptop but the modem is not voice. I need voice. Toshiba doesn’t have voice either. Anyone have such a machine with all theses options?

Don't know about the quality. Winbook Si is ADVERTISED to have a v90 modem.

I recommend a Toshiba for quality--and check into getting a PCMCIA modem that'll give you the voice you need.

I've had a Solo from Gateway for almost a year now, and never had any problems. Bbattery can last over 5hrs if I don't use the DVD. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I've had a couple Twinheads, IBM, Toshiba, and I give IBM thinkpads 2 thumbs up for Performance and Design. But kinda over priced compared to other notebooks. I had very good luck with TwinHead notebooks and the price is was very reasonable. definitely get the extended warranty.. I bought a ctx laptop and didn't, just after the warranty, the thing is fried.. what an expensive 1 yr computer... dang...
