Hi,i'm currently building a website for a friends UK unsigned Rock band,exiT22.
I want to upload their tracks from cd to files so you can hear their stuff and (most importantly of all)easily distribute the files via e-mail etc, providing a simplistic way of transferring the music to companies for setting up gigs etc..........Any tips would be totally appreciated http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

mp3's come to mind, but if you are sending a whole song via email, its going to be a large file for emailing... have you consindered streaming the songs from the page? or just letting people download the mp3
s from it? use real producer www.real.com (http://www.real.com)
to make streaming files. you could use real jukebox, or winamp or something similar to rip the cd's, you are going to want a smaller file size for the net anyway for quicker downloading, unless you want cd quality, so a freeware program would work...
