need unix/pc/mac freeware disk eraser s/w

I'm looking to excess old equipment, but since I work for the government I need to securely overwrite all the hard drives on these macs, pc's, and unix boxes. Anyone know of any multi-platform freeware out there that will do this?

Perhaps one of those will allow you to access the HD, then use this to overwrite.

Placing the HD into a Windows machine should allow it to write to the HD and remove any traces, lets hope anyway..

BCWipe,does swap file too. Shows up in your right mouse clik as a wipe option. Fast,easy,free.

It'll take care of the Windows,have to look around for the Unix wiper.
