master slaving arrangement

I was just wondering how I should arrange the devices in my comp for best performance, I have UDMA33 controllers, and a seagate UDMA66 drive (hey they're cheaper than 33 now) an LS-120 "Superdisk" and a 36x max CD-Rom

Set you devices this way:

IDE-1 PRIMARY: Seagate Hard disk (Master)
IDE-2 SECNDARY: CDROM (Master) ,LS-120 (Slave)

NEVER connect a SLOWER device with your hard drive, the slower device will produce a BOTTLENECK to your hard drive. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
