I won't believe it, until i see it http://www.sysopt.com/news/gws/cdata/wink.gif beard 06-14-2001, 05:39 AM I burnt a 24x 74 minute verbatim CDR in sanyo1500P 24x recorder and it took longer than the Ricoh 20x drive! Sanyo24x took 5:40 (nero) Ricoh20x took 4:20 (nero) We haven't worked this one out just yet... Wiruz 06-14-2001, 06:52 AM Beard> it is because that most of the really fast, new recorders use CAV (Constant Angular(?) Velocity), which means that it can burn the first part of the CD (The inner tracks) at only 16x, but as the laser moves out it is able to burn faster, 20-24x. It all depends of which technologies are sued in the CDR-Drive, some are 24Max, or "plain" 20x. I'm still satisfied with my ancient Plextor 4x w/caddy. works fine for me, and it's SCSI. Quite stable. tomk!@# 06-18-2001, 11:24 AM test update cntrowland 07-10-2001, 01:03 AM Hey folks... Anyone have a good site/link where I can get software for my burner. Somehow, I lost my install CD for it and I have some stuff to burn! (Don't we all? http://www.sysopt.com/news/gws/cdata/smile.gif) Have tried Fireburner and can't get it to work...Any others? Thanks ahead of time! Chris SysOpt.com
