That's great that's it's leaked out...but I've got the file sitting on my drive and cant do a thing with it! It's an *.ISO file, and I don't know what I need to extract it. Any suggestions? Don't even think about WinZip folks. A link to the instructions would be nice too... can't find those either (saw them once a while back). Thanks http://www.sysopt.com/news/gws/cdata/smile.gif Chris

An ISO file is used by a Burning program, like Nero Burning ROM. The ISO file can be read by Nero and burned directly to CD-R.

I use Fireburner (http://www.fireburner.com/) to burn ISO's.

The apps I use to burn .iso extension files (therse are a proprietary disk image file, not to be confused with ISO9660) are CDRWin and Easy CD Creator. Those are the main files that burn .iso files.

Isobuster can view and extract the contents without the middleman of a burner.

Ok folks...let's talk about aggravating, w/ respect to this RC1 download. Got the file, got it extracted...don't have my burn software for now, so I'm going from my logical D drive to my C...but anyway. There's no mention of a product key..but you bet it asks for one! The readme says to obtain it from microsoft's beta site...guess what? Seems you need to be a "technical beta member"...Well, I'm not. Any ideas..Email away!! Thanks. Chris

They (MS) send the key code in the email that accompanies the RC1 download.Yes you will need it.I have XP up and running.I would suggest a clean install on a seperate partition.<J>

you can extract the ISO file using the undisker utility, available at www.undisker.com (http://www.undisker.com) It's a nice handy utility, and extracts not only ISO but NRG images too! http://www.sysopt.com/news/gws/cdata/smile.gif
