thats part of it....I think I heard Leo Laporte(tv personailty on ZDTV) talking earlier this week about people working on underground programs to get ALL of the IM's talking together.

would be harder since aim uses names and icq uses numbers?? i think icq takes alot longer to message someone than aim

ICQ hosts address books on each user's PC, unlike AIM's server-stored books. ICQ has more customizations and features, like being imported into a webpage so you can see if the developer is on-line.
