That 760 chipset looks like an old K6-2 chip - it really ought to have a HS/fan epoxied to it.

Yeahh!!! It looks like AMD is on the right track (at least that's what this "test" shows). I can wait to see the performance in everyday apps like photoshop and GAMES..!!! Hmmm... look out INTEL.,.

Aren't these multi-processor systems a bit of a waste if the OS and Application (or Game) is not developed with multi-processing in mind?

I'm sure I read somewhere that Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition was not really built to optimise dual processing. Maybe I've got it all wrong, as I get older I don't absorb the information quite as readily as in the past. http://www.sysopt.com/news/gws/cdata/smile.gif

I also thought that games like Mechwarrior III or IV were not really optimised for dual processing systems and I'd be better off gettting one real fast processor and maybe some extra RAM instead of two processors.

This reminds me of the Pentium 4 situation or the Playstation 2 situation. The hardware is "grunty" but the software is yet to take full advantage of the hardware's potential.

I know dual Pentium systems have been around for yonks. Perhaps I am simply ignorant of the capabilities of today's software. Am I on the wrong track here guys and girls?
