I'm using 3DMARK2001 as my only synthetic benchmark as I don't really like them, but this one is popular. What games benchmarks is everyone using now a days? I used Q3A alot in the past, but it's getting old. Anything more current?

Sites are using Serious Sam and Mercedez Benz Trucking (I don't know if the game is called like this) which push your cpu and graphic cards to the limit.!

Can I get demos of those games and will there be an option in those demos to use fps test like in quake?

Opps I forgot. To see fps in Serious Sam:
Add whats below to the Common.ctl file thats in the Controls folder inside of the System folder. Leave it set at the F key or if you use that key for something else use one that you don't need, then when in the game in a map or even online hit the F key or whatever key you used and the FPS rate will show in the upper side of the screen.
Button
Name: TTRS Toggle frame rate
Key1: F
Key2: None
Pressed: hud_iStats=(hud_iStats+1)%3;
Released:
Or in the console type
hud_istats=1
this will give fps in realtime
hud_istats=2
gives lots of stats as well as fps
Also, if you want to see something interesting, open up common. assign a key to this entry, which should also be there already
Button
Name: TTRS Toggle Triangles
Key1: None
Key2: None
Pressed: wld_bShowTriangles=!wld_bShowTriangles;
Released:
This was taken from a Serious Sam forum.!

Does it run a standarized demo? Like something I can compare my fps to other people? Once I get that game I'll give it a try. It slowed my last setup pretty badly.

Yeah I think it runs in "standarized" demo. I think..!
Just make any of these changes and try to load a demo and see if it works.!
