Hi robin801, IMHO, either place would be correct. I say pick one and post your questions. Worst that could happen is it gets moved. If you aren't quite sure where to post, just give it an honest effort and nobody here will hold it against you. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

and the errors would be...

driver information

w1802-large cluster sizes waste disk space break into smaller partitions or use fat32. i thought i was using fat32.

general port information

model id-com3
warning-could not open port(5)

don't have a clue as to what these errors mean or how to correct.

there were others but i forgot what they were. my benchmarks fall well below the ones that they compared my system to.

system specs

thunderbird 850
asus a7v133
nvidia geforce2mx
8x dvd
on board sound
ethernet card
wd 20g 7200
win98se

sorry for the delay in reponse. i tried to overclock and had to get a new cpu, so i was down for a few days.

on the 3d marks ii scored a 1921. i don't know if this is good or bad. if it is bad is there anything i can do to make it better.

ok...Sandra is good for one thing....bench your machine and make changes with it and then bench it again...did it help?? you cannot rely on Sandra to be an accurate benchmark tool for any other purpose...its comparision machines are at best vague and in no way can be considered accurate for the vast majority of homebuilt systems...as for the 'problems' it finds...again what is a problem for one machine is not for another with the exact same specs...do not hold this program as some kind of know it all tool...use it for comparisions with your own machine in before and after changes to see if the changes helped or hurt.....

For the FAT32 error- open my computer and open the properties for a drive. It will tell you if the drive is using FAT(FAT16) of FAT32.
Now for the port error- that's probably your network card or modem. You will get that error if you're online.

Are you using 3dmark 2000 or 2001? That sounds like a good 2001 score, but it's a little low if you're using 3dmark 2000.
