Great stuff, guys! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif Thanks!
rh71, hhh8785 - cool sites! Such diverse creativity. I've bookmarked your tutorials site too, hhh. Thanks for sharing.
I'm just starting out in Flash.. sometimes it gets pretty frustrating.. but I see what others can do (especially you members ;-) ) and it motivates me to keep practicing. It's awesome what this program can do.
Here's a site I found that has lots of cool flash sites

My submission.
Edit: If you have lots of time, look at these as they are listed at the top of the page. I especially liked the Spider! http://www.greg.ch/flash/

Do you agree with the following that I found:
"I suppose the truth is that people with flash sites that need updating in
that manner are asking for trouble. They've already paid above the odds to
have their site designed in flash, then they discover that their individual
listings won't appear in search engines and finally that they'll need to
rehire their 'expert' in order to update the movie... I wouldn't give away
my .fla unless I was paid a good deal extra for it.
Generator is supposed to provide a solution to that but generator is
expensive and (I've heard) complex and even unreliable so it's beyond the
scope of us freelancers.
basically flash has created a web monopoly for itself whereby the
programmers can tie up the information and charge their clients to get it
back, typically at rates above those for actual searchable web technologies
such as database stuff. Isn't it great!!!"
I don't entirely agree. There's always going to be 2 sides to this Flash thing. Whomever wrote that isn't fully aware of Flash's capabilities. Generator is not the only game in town... you can achieve dynamic content via simple variable settings of other programming languages that are read and manipulated through Flash's actionscripts.
And who's to say the entire site is to be designed in Flash... some of the best work is a mix of Flash/DHTML/XML, which requires nobody to ever touch the FLA again. But yes, it depends on what kind of "expert" a company hires to do the branding... and whether he/she is out to protect themself or not. Or whether they planned ahead... or not.
On the flipside, I believe the price that these Flash designers charge are justified. Think of the schooling and theory most of them go through before they even get to do anything with the program itself. Think of their investment of time - plenty of which is required to learn the program. It takes quite a bit of dedication and motivation to complete a Flash project from start to finish. There are no such things as templates in the Flash world. And, meanwhile, you have static HTML page designers charging $200/hr.

I heard that SVG is going to become the hot thing. Is that right?
