Hi to all,
If I would like to set a "FREE" Discussion Forum or Borad in which members can send in questions and the mod can provide an answer; or, in which members can respond to
those questions.
So please kindly suggest where should I go to apply for a Free Discussion Board and let the ball rolling.
Your help is highly appreciated in advance.

Good question, a friend of mine wants to set up a web and have a discussion board on the site as well. I look forward to the replies myself.

Suggestion: Check out these message boards, see if you like the software. My humble opinion added.
www.scubadiving.com/talk/list.php?f=1 (http://www.scubadiving.com/talk/list.php?f=1) ( SCUBA )
Software: Phorum, running on Linux. Requires PHP and SQL. All software free.
What I like: All threads stay together. As contrasted to the appalling software at www.billiardsdigest.com/ccboard. (http://www.billiardsdigest.com/ccboard.) The threads are scattered all over creation. The whipcrackers at D2D ( Diver to diver ) have this set up as wide-open: There are no divisions like you have here ( general tech, community ). The poster is identified, so if someone is on your "Pay Him No Mind" list, just don't click that post. Major fine search options. A Number-of-replies counter. Finally, the Collapse Threads / Expand threads option.
What I don't like: You can't edit posts. No spellchecker.
www.bbs2.gwrra.org (http://www.bbs2.gwrra.org) ( Goldwings )
Software: Discus on NT
What I like: Not much. The company, yes. The software, no.
What I don't like: Poster not identified. Search and edit functions aren't in obvious places. No Number-of-replies.
My suggestion would be to scour the web for message boards, see what software looks and feels good.
Is there a reason you're not looking at http://www.ezboard.com ?

Free forum script...uses asp exclusively. Easy to set up and install, easier to configure. Very powerful free software.

Ezboard has pop ups unless you pay for CSC membership now. (or the admin of the board gets CSC Gold Membership then their board and all forums have no adds for six months. THen you have to renew it.) you might look at ikonboard.com, or yabb.org I've used both and liked them and both are free. (good luck finding a decent free host who will let you use them though.)

Check out ikonboard (http://www.ikonboard.com) . It's easy to install especially on Linux/Unix servers and has a strong supporting community of users. Tons of hacks for added features available for it as well.
I use a freeboard here (http://pub51.ezboard.com/bxtreme89487) and I'm happy with the features...
