Anybody have some links to some good tutorials on PHP? I need something that starts basic and gets pretty advanced. I'm getting kind of tired of ASP and PERL and would like to learn the ins and outs of PHP. Show me whatcha got http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Well here's a great little project that I just did. Its pretty basic but its a good start. Its a forum, a lot like this, I'm sure you've heard of it, called "vbulletin". Only took me about 1/2 an hour and I've never done anything like this before. The full deal is a pay thing but you can use the "lite" one, which is fully functional and a hell of a deal really. Here's the link:

If your looking for a free server to test on I could probably give you a link for that too.

Thanks for the idea Undertow http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Really what I'm looking to do is create my own scripts from scratch. I have already set up a few pre-written PHP scripts on my server and I am amazed at their functionality and speed. What I really need is a site for php that equivalent to this one (http://www.4guysfromrolla.com) , which is about asp. Anybody have any good links?

Here are several PHP sites from my bookmarks, I'm sure some of them have tutorials:

I am looking for a free server to test on - the server I am on now doesn't allow PHP.
Any suggestions out there?
