Intel PC Camera Pro Pack........excellent quality pictures even in low light conditions, will take great stills up to 640x480, good fps in vid mode, can import video from VCR or camcorder, comes with privacy shutter, good and fairly useful software package that is easy to install and is actually bug free.

The only real downer about this camera is the lack of support for Win2000 and it's a tad pricey at 149.95 Cdn after 30.00 rebate.

I've tried quite a few cameras before buying this one, and while others may have a better picture, they'll have poor fps, or decent fps, but they need floodlights to get a picture, etc. The Intel camera, while not perfect, handles things pretty well IMO.

I not long ago purchased the 3Com HomeConnect WebCam.

Easy to set up, small size, superb image quality. One of the best I've seen yet. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a webcam of their own. It can be had for around $120-$130.
