I was just wondering when higher density CDRs and CDR writers are coming out? I read a story about this a while ago in Maximum PC, but have yet to see any.

I read a story about this a while ago in Maximum PC, but have yet to see any. otheos 09-09-2001, 12:55 AM Sony has come up with a solution (1.2GB) and Plextor is rumored to be preparing one (2GB) but with the advent of DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW, and given that high density CDs will be incompatible with current technology (CDROM or DVDROM) I believe they are doomed to fail (like DVD-RAM did). (wew, a long sentence). I wouldn't hold my breath for them, rather I'd wait untill DVD-R/RW gets reasonably fast and most importantly reasonably cheap. SysOpt.com
