I just put together a new system I have a wd 40 gib At 100 hardrive, my mothboard supports 33,66, and 100 but I done a test with wd software and it says it's only doing 33, how can I make it 100?

Go to their site and look up your drive and see if you have to "enable" the drive to accept 100. I remember some earlier drives had to be "turned on" in order to take advantage of new speed.

Just making sure that you're using the correct cabling?

The cables look pretty much the same, just the ATA66 and ATA100 cables are SLIGHTLY thinner and normally have a blue plug goign in to the mobo/controller side.... then make sure its set properly in the BIOS - some BIOSes need to re-detect the drive.

Have an older drive on the same cable, even if it is a 80 conductor cable?
