Just bought a Sony CRX-081110SK (8/4/32) CDRW and Nero says it supports Burn Proof technology. I am not sure because the manual doesn't say this anywhere.

Is Nero pulling my leg or does my Sony CDRW have Burn Proof Tech?

I don't know about Nero, but CloneCD indicates what each burner supports with a disclaimer at the bottom that indicates that the data comes from the manufacturer...

Open 8 windows, surf the net, see if you can burn a coaster...

Thats interesting, thanks. I'll try CloneCD if I can find it somewhere.

Sony website isn't that great for finding info about their "other" products.

Thanks again Daveleau, I couldn't find it anywhere either, I find that Sony's Website is very very confusing and hard to follow.

Too bad I didn't buy a Plextor ;p

Anyways, thanks for the links. My Sony software doesn't link my Sony CDRW either but Nero does! Go Figure?

CloneCD can be found at www.elaborate-bytes.com (http://www.elaborate-bytes.com) . This can be a slow site, so be patient. Nero is a great program. Patches for it can be found at www.ahead.de (http://www.ahead.de) .

Only one cd-rw drive pops up at Sony when you do a search for BP. http://www.sonystyle.com/sonystyle/4621/4685/4692/10771.default.html I cannot find anything on that model, whether it is on the web, Sony.com or ebay (a great place to find specs, believe it or not)
