I was listening to mp3's, scanning in photos,
and surfing the net the other night while burning cd's at 12x with not a single coaster
hard to belive from IDE but the burn proof technology really works well.

Yep, Plextor make some great gear ! I've got a 20x Plextor SCSI CD-Rom. Beats 24x or 32x IDE drives, hands down. My next burner is going to be a Plextor SCSI.

My current burner is the old Plextor 4/2 (PX-R412Csi, or something). With the exception of trying to copy certain game CDs, this burner has worked flawlessly for me. It's even capable of doing those 700MB discs.

I got a freind who just got the same drive and already swears by it. He did the same thing - played mp3s ect while burning and not 1 coaster.

I currently have a plexwriter 4/2/20 SCSI and a ultraplex 40max scsi... they both run real good..
have a total of 6 SCSI plextor drives at work also..
I love Plextor SCSI http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
I use a Plextor 8/4/32a IDE (NO BURN-PROOF) and I never sit around for the CD burn to complete before I go about doing my other things. NO Buffer Underruns. Plextor CDR and CDRW's keep me happy! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif As for SONY...... Well....... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
