I own a western digital 2.5 gig hard drive and it has the "click of death". If anyone knows how to fix it, I would appreciate it if they would post it!

(Loud crying and trumpet playing Tapps in background) jaida 06-24-2001, 01:55 AM Just a few questions for ya by click of death are you referring to the drive making clicking noises rapidly every few seconds? also does the drive detect? I would say that if the drive is making rapid click noise and not functioning properly you will probely have to get a new harddrive as this usually indicates the drive is shot. You could try testing the drive in another computer if you had one handy. SysOpt.com
