Need help with Raid setup

This is my first time installing a raid card and I have it all functioning properly their just one minor thing that is stopping me from finish loading win2k. It’s asking me for the driver HPT 370 udma/ata100. Now I tried both disks that came with the raid card. No luck. It’s a side raid 100 card by www.iwill.net (http://www.iwill.net) and my motherboard is a gigabyte GA-6vxe7+. I went to different sites and d/led the newest drivers for HPT for win2k but won't work!! any clues? thanxs

^ bump hey i was curious im doing stripping they can't be on the same ide cable right? one has to be on the master input and the other on the secondary right?

No, I don't think so.
It does not matter where your disks are, as long as they do not conflict with each other, of course.
They can be on the some channel (one master, one slave)

somewhere i heard that when you strip raid you can't have them on the same ide cable.

i just put the second disk on the secondary input and loading again. hope it works

mmmm... bizarre...never heard that... I wonder what could be the reasonwhy you could not have a stripe on the same channel...

I used to have a stripe of 4 IBM 22Gxp on a single IDE RAID controller (Promise FastTrak66). I've never had any problems with it.

Okay. i just got off the phone with tech support. He said that for stripping the must be on there own ide cable. basically they guy told me to set up with the cd of win2k. but for some reason my copy will not boot up with the cd rom. i ask well i have trying thru the 4 boot disk and the guy was like what 4 boot disk are these you talking about. i sat there i was like wtf? the ones that you make with win2k. Its basically the same thing just a slower process. i think he learned something. So i ask what is this hpt driver i need and he was like it should of been on that disk. im like ummmm.... i tried both disks that came with the hardware and even went out and d/led 6 other verisons. ANYONE HELP?!
