Hey all, I built a system for someone and picked up a NEC oem 12x burner for them. They were thrilled it was only $80, but I can't seem to find drivers for it, so Nero is the only program that can burn on it. And they desperately need something easier like EZCD.
NEC website(s) are a mess, adn basically I found that they don't have oem drivers, the oem does. I bought it online, and their techsupport is being slow on getting back to me.
Any ideas anyone? Links?
thx

There are no drivers for a burner that runs in Windows. You just get a program like Nero, EZ CD Creator, NTI CD Maker etc.

check www.nticdmaker.com (http://www.nticdmaker.com) . It's just as easy as ez cd and might support the drive...It says these ones are:
1 NEC NR-7500A 4.1.46
2 NEC NR-8500A 4.2.68
3 NEC NR-7700A 4.2.75
4 NEC NR-8400A 4.2.75

Good luck http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

hmm, thanks.
Actually EZCD didn't recognize it, and NTI didn't either. Although I didn't fiddle very long with it. Strange, but Nero did recognize it. I'll try NTI again and see how it goes.
