Need wininet.dll, please help.

This dll is included with ie...scandisk ate mine and it isnt repaired when reinstalling ie. must be version 5.0.2314.1003. the file size is 459,024 bytes.

if nobody can match up that file version and send it to you, then you can manually extract it from your IE cabs which should be in your c:\windows setup files directory. the tricky part is this file is packed in a cab within another cab, so the order of progression would be:

extract ie_s2.cab /l c:\windows\temp

that will unpack a file named ie_2.cab in your c:\windows\temp directory. then you extract the wininet.dll file ...

extract /a ie_2.cab wininet.dll /l c:\windows\system

in the process of doing this it will ask you if you want to overwrite the existing file, which is what you want to do.

that should do the trick.
