Another Crazy here in Sacramento

We've had another mass murder here in Northern California. A crazy 20 year old took out his girlfriend and a bunch of co-workers then decided to take on the cops. He fired over 200 rounds from his AK and managed to critically wound some unlucky SOB who was waiting at a red light. At least the cowardly ******* capped himself thus saving the taxpayers millions.

The final showdown was 1/4 mile from my workplace about 4 hours before I came in. There were at least 30 police cars! The CSI is still going on - not sure why, since the guy is dead. They shut down a major intersection and 3 shopping centers (including the local WalMart) for over 14 hours.

**** like this makes me thankful I live 50 miles away out in the country...

On the other hand, and in the same light...when it comes to drinking and driving, I wonder how many of those deaths were caused by someone with a Drivers License?

I can think of a few Hellmund.
A Westfield shopping mall had a nut run thru with a rifle firing at random years ago,
Hoddle street - Melbourne (not sure of spelling quite some years ago), Martin Briant in Tasmania a few yrs back (caused the govt to try & buy guns off people) and the more recent I think is the Ivan Malat backpacker killer.
Australian population? 20Million or so.

Sorry, comparing the diversity and population of the US to Australia.....Aus. doesn't compare whatsoever. On the terrorist attack, we just seem like a good target, being the only super power and all....

One thing the general population of the USA is unaware of is the reputation that we have earned.

The US half does many things leaving people out to dry, i.e. the Mountian Yerds in Cambodia, the resistance at the Bay of Pigs in Cuba, the Drug War in S. America, etc etc

We start into some campaign, gather supporters, ship them to training camps in Columbus Ga,, THEN after months/years of dedication we leave them hanging, only to be executed and the families live in persecution.

OR, in another light, the free reighn that some US servicemen exhibit in drunken fits. The MP's often tell townspeople to go to the magistrate and prosecute them. Thievery, rapes, beatings, Folks the US is NOT acting like a saint all around the world.

Billy Bob, and Rafiel Fameriez, and Latesihke Mohammed Washington the 5th, anger people worldwide and mostly have nothing to fear from the military or the local police.

Spend some time on a military base and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about, the CID is the only ones that they fear, and they usually know who they are and before they arrive.

Beyond individuals, our Govt seems to develop policies to anger people enmasse, this post would bog the server if we mention a fraction of the atrocities commited by our Govt.

Does anyone remember what good ol US of A did to Black US servicemen during the early 50's ?
They gave them LSD in HUGE amounts, then covered it up and called them insane.
What about the Veneral Diseases given to the Black people just for the fun of it.
Seems as if Hitlers henchmen still live on.

What happened to several hundred US servicemen on the US White house lawn after erecting a Tent City demanding the promised war booty payment after WWI, a famous WWII general led the order to open fire on them with Browning .50 Water cooled machine guns, killing as many as possible.

Our great and wonderful Govt goes to great lengths to anger not only the world but the citizens if they dig hard enough to arrive at What Mulder of the X-Files seeks..

Yeh I guess didn't think it through, the title just bothered me, it was like 'here we go again' like it's common for killing spree's!? I've noticed this in other threads here as well, people seem to be getting complacent!! Also the US is a Massive place.....should give myself a slap on the back of the head for stereotyping....

Hellmund - the title was in reference to the fact that this was the second such incident in three weeks, which is ***EXTREMELY*** unusual!

I live in a city of 100,000 and we average just under 1 murder per year. I feel very safe in my neighborhood....

club - we've talked about the gun control issue a million times, there is no need to bring it here again, IMO. Everyone has proved whatever points they wanted to prove.

I think that if we heard on the news EVERY time some registered gun owner STOPPED a crime from happening, others would think different.

I would like to know if you have a reference article to verify that? I have a hard time imagining this but since I do not know the facts, I am now interested.
