I bought a Intel USB Web cam. This was an impulse buy thus not doing my research ahead of time. I had heard Intel was the best (or close to it). I proceeded to install it and found out very quickly that it doesn't support Win2000. I was not happy. No drivers even available on there web site.

I learned from my mistake and did a little research and bought a Logitech Quick Cam Web (USB). This thing is quite slick. Not only is it simple to use but it also has a motion sensor which activates and records. I could have fun with this. I highly recommend this to anyone.

I got an Intel PC Camera ProPack, and while it is an excellent camera (I use Win98), it's bogus that it won't work with WIN2000. From what I understand, Intel has no intention of producing drivers either....good ole' Intel!!

Glad you like your Logitech.

is their any reason why you guys are using win2000 as an OS? No one can even make good drivers for the OS. please let me know why.

I like Win 2000 because it is as stable as Win NT 4.0 and the rich feartures of Win 98. For the most part the driver issue isnt a problem if you do a little research prior to your purchase unlike my first web cam I bought.
