Same thing here. I'm running IE6. Just open Quicktime and go to Open URL.... and enter it there.

Potlicker...Nah...I don't think you saw that guy anywhere. I'm pretty sure Bill had him summarily executed later that evening http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

I just realized that clip indicates "courtesy of Microsoft", which means MS furnished the clip to the media when they didn't have to. They could have easily kept that locked in the vault. I say good for them for having a sense of humor.

Poor bas##rd.
I mean the "not Bill" fellow!
Been there, done that many times for sure. Standing in front of a conference room full of clients and potential customers at a demo or at a technical conference, joined by most of the corporate staff at the company you work at, and doing a "foolproof" demonstration of a prototype circuit that worked 100 times in the lab and "POOF", the **** thing blows up and smokes the conference room. During these demos I became famous for light AND smell-emitting diodes among my colleagues!!!!!!!
There's just no way that you don't come off looking like "Joe the dope" (with all deference and apologies to all the Joes out there!!!).
But I'm told the only way we truly learn is by our mistakes...so I sent sacrificial employees, er I mean subordinates after a few truly humbling and embarrassing incidents!!
Tony
Oh, and never, ever have only one of your demo product running at one time. Always have a back-up that you can seamlessly whip out and get working when the smoke clears. MicroSoft should have had several computers under the desk and a KVM that they could have simply switched out the problem and not looked so bush league in the demo. They could well afford the extra hardware and I believe the software licensing wouldn't be a problem either!!!

LOL. Hey! They wrote the code! They authored the BSOD!
Funny thing, with the clip, the assembled crowd got the joke so quickly. Means they knew what they saw!
Cant get a BSOD...? Try www.sysinternals.com (http://www.sysinternals.com) they have a great BSOD screen saver, and a bunch of other cool stuff.
Thanx for finding that vision again!

Word of warning with that scrsaver. I used to use it until mum kept coming in my room while I wasn't and turning off the computer....that scrnsaver is realistic http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Lol, imagine you actually got a BSOD while running it, how would u tell?

Indeed! Agreed!
On an Intel[Reg Trademark] and MicroSoft, Sanctimonious(Tm), All Egos Assured [e]. We own you People [Win XP].
You'd be be right to ask, What is the difference between a shareware, BSOD, and the fully blown MS [Copyright], version?
