SysOpt 08-27-2001, 03:36 PM http://www.sysopt.com/articlesignup.html Fingers 08-27-2001, 04:28 PM I know we have a lot of knowledgeable and creative writers here; this is a great opportunity for members to show their talents. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif OC Guy 08-27-2001, 05:04 PM If I get accepted, will my "rank" change to something like, "Sysopt Press" http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif or something cool like that? SysOpt 08-27-2001, 07:13 PM Sure, I can give ya a cool title. MiKe85 08-27-2001, 08:14 PM I think i'll start an article... Although for some reason I am kind of nervous about it. -EDIT- How many people are you accepting for this? [This message has been edited by MiKe85 (edited 08-27-2001).] daveleau 08-27-2001, 08:45 PM I think it is open for anyone to write as many good quality articles as possible. I believe that is the idea. Really cool opportunity. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Dave LittleKing 08-27-2001, 09:01 PM This is great. For a long time I thought it would be a great idea if there was a place to summit your own articles. And now there is. I don't know if I will use it, but I'm sure others will. I also believe that this could be a key point in keeping a web page on-line. By allowing others to summit there own work it will keep them coming back, and will add additional content to the site and bring in new people. I'm glad to see that Sysopt is alive and well and open to new ideas. LK daveleau 08-27-2001, 09:10 PM Yes, Scott (Sysopt) is working very hard to make Sysopt.com a better place. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif It has always been one of the best and this is why. Dave SysOpt 08-28-2001, 02:38 AM Great, Mike.. I'm going to take on as many as I can handle. Since I'll be editing the submissions I'm limited by how much work I can do, but I'm sure some articles will need little to no editing while others will need alot - that's actually part of how I'm going to select the authors, based upon how much work their writing will take to get it from their format into one that can be published. Hellmund 08-28-2001, 04:53 AM Interesting..... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif psyklone 08-28-2001, 07:14 AM is there any specific format you want them submitted in? if we know up front it should keep your workload down a little bit ... -psyklone RustyGT 08-28-2001, 07:16 AM Kewl! So, where? Have you sent, Our, "bounder to adventure", for the first scoop? ChrsR. Edits: Augh. [This message has been edited by RustyGT (edited 08-28-2001).] Hellmund 08-28-2001, 08:20 AM Well I might not get around to doing it this week but what about a resource article. Noticed quite a few people asking the differences between a lot of vidcards lately, If I were to get around to compiling a decently sized resource of most of the different cards available with their different hardware aspects would this be appropriate? OC Guy 08-28-2001, 02:39 PM Count me in!(Now to find something to write about http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif) Hellmund 08-28-2001, 06:51 PM Might make it a group activity over in Vid-cards and monitors. That way it's more likely to get the most information, I thought something like this would be a good resource. Can be difficult remember every cards fill-rate and all the different core/mem speeds etc. RobRich 08-29-2001, 01:37 AM For those interested in submitting articles, then feel free to contact me anytime with questions concerning topic research or article development. I am also available for pre-submission reading/editing if desired. Good luck, and thanks for the submissions! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Robert Richmond Associate Editor www.SysOpt.com (http://www.SysOpt.com) About forgot: Hellmund, I believe an article detailing the differences between current graphics chipsets would definitely be acceptable. [This message has been edited by RobRich (edited 08-28-2001).] SysOpt 08-30-2001, 12:06 AM As for format, if you know HTML and can do HTML links, paragraph tags, etc, that would be great, not not essential. We'll break them up into pages as needed. madfish 09-04-2001, 11:27 AM TTT OC Guy 09-04-2001, 02:17 PM Whats TTT? edwelly 09-04-2001, 03:55 PM I signed up.
