Yep, 15 points off....LOL! All for little things. I could care less, I have my license and a car! Was kinda funny, last week there was a dude who went after I failed.....saw him again this week http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif (he passed this time).
I was soooooooo nervous, my foot was shaking. A lot rode on this time around - driving to school. I had burned a cd before I left this morning hoping I would be able to play it during the test (music calms me down). My dad said that was most likely a no go, I didn't bother to ask the who tested me...besides, I doubt the older gentlemen would have liked POD, Creed or Lifehouse http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
Speaking of which, I just downloaded POD - Alive last night (it's off their upcoming album)........DOWNLOAD THIS NOW! This song KICKS bootay.

September 8th is my test.
I have the "game plan" figured out in my head, I know the course, etc. etc.
Right now I just have to keep my cool.
I'm 17, I got my license a month ago. I had to take the permit test twice but I passed the license test the first time with 8 points. I didn't signal out of parellel park. I remember my first joyride http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I took my mom's hyundai sonata 2001 170hp its surprisingly powerful! I just got off and on highways. Speed is nice, but it doesn't compare to the thrill acceleration gives you! Going from 0-40 in a few seconds is great! Its got a nice tall 6500rpm redline for plenty of fun http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

For my next car in a few years, I've got my eyes set on a '94 325i with 192hp. They are somewhere around $10k. If not a 3 series, then some other BMW series. Would be nice to have in the 200s for hp.
DARN! Forgot madfish was a member here......what luck, the ONLY Vermont member has to read that http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

U sure that's a gasser??? 90 @ 3000 rpm and redline @ 4500 sounds about like my diesel<IMG SRC="http://www.duhspot.com/users/smiley/s/otn/shocked/eek.gif" border=0>
I'd have thought the gasser would top out at around 6500?

Gerrit chipped & a 192hp will easy have over 200

Well I hope it's gas because I just filled it with gas... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
I've never read anything about them coming in diesal and the guy who sold it to me didn't say anything about that. That's a pretty unique feature.
I too was surprised at the 4500. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

wart i have three cars since i was 16. (im 18 now) my first car was a ford festivia. second car was a ford escort. so the neon r/t is a major improvement over both. oh yeah and someone mention about how i could of gotten a new 2001 neon for the price i payed for the one i got. the reason why i bought the car was my neon has more horsepower and a bigger engine than the 2001. plus i like the older model body than the newer one http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Well my friend's durango which is gas tops out at 4750 RPM. I know diesels have tons of torque but why do they have such low redlines? A diesel that could hit 7500 RPM would be really cool!

They prolly didn't sell 'em in the 'St8s, but BMW made a storming 2.5L 6cyl diesel pushing around 145hp and (at a guess) well over 200 lb.ft torque. They are popular in Europe and the engine is fitted to the Range Rover and Vauxhall (Opel / GM) Omega. They can be reliably tuned to over 185hp. I want one!

It sounds like an 'E' model.
My Dad had a 525e, it redlined @ 5000 rpm
P.S
You'd know if it was a diesel http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
