TOAD6147 is a Hero

Toad reminded me of something I needed to do today. So I drove over to the local PO to take care of business.

If not for Toad, I would NOT have been at the PO just in time to see a Kitten crouched in the Highway.

At first glance it looked like a large mouse or ground squirrel but as I turned in I saw it crawling from the center of the traffic lane towards the center line.

Two cars passed over it, missing it with the tires.
An oncoming UPS truck saw it and stopped blocking a line of cars.

With cars bearing down at 65+ in the opposite direction, I scanpered across the road and grabbed it up.

A couple in a p.u. truck in the PO parking lot wanted it.
I have Too many already(5)including a visitor Siamese that prefers food and shelter to beatings from stupid kids.

Punks in my town think it's funny to throw kittens from moving cars into the highway..
I HOPE I never see such action, If I don't blow an anuresum(sp)I'll either get the **** beat outta me or....

Anyway, hats off to Toad for getting me up,, most around here would not be intersted in taking a chance to save a kitten..

BTW, the folks who took the kitten drove South on the highway AFTER hearing my tale of woe about punks throwing them onto the roadway.
I went north a couple of miles and turned around at the next mountain pass.

No more kittens in the road, gladly.
Perhaps some A-Hole dropped this one, maybe others too, at the Post Office parking lot.
