just got a phone call from my sister a few minutes ago. she said she was calling from a bar not too far away and just wanted to say hi. *suspicious mind now* we're kinda close but she usually doesnt call when shes out.
she then asks me "know what today is??? i go "yeah its tuesday". "i meant the date" she claimed. i looked at my calendar and told her. "its august 28th" . she started to get sad she was saying. "noone remembers".(sad voice)
turns out i had forgotten that today was her wedding date. a wedding which was big and my whole family attended of course. it only lasted for a year i think at most but unfortunately/fortunately her divorce just became final i believe recently. so most of my family doesnt think of her having been married considering shes been separated for more than 8 months(a guess) now and living on her own in an apt close to me. dont know if its a good thing that we forgot or not. her friends didnt forget. they are the ones who took her out to have a few drinks i guess.he wasnt the greatest guy and we all knew it too. a bittersweet day and i kinda feel i dropped the ball. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
sorry colleen

Well, you (and family) was probably in a no-win situation anyway. If you all had called, written...whatever, and said hey!!..its your wedding anniversary..just wanted you to know we are thinking of you..

She woulda probably come back with something like..."****, I have been trying to forget!!". But, sence nobody did...now, you don't care...go figure.

Bovons right, should've called her bluff, and said you thought she would want to forget it.

Sorry all the same bud, Justy.

Don't know why, I showed my 'shcmuckness' today. During a uni-lecture the lecturerer says "anyone play computer games", I put my hand up, awkwardly the only person in the whole theatre...then she right out of the blue says something like "What's 65,536 and important to gamers" , it kind of stalled my brain, as soon as she said 'important to gamers' I just thought either Vid-card or cpu....said processor....didn't occur it was color depth. So in front of 300+ people I'm considered the only immature one playing games and seem to be just plain stupid computerwise....kinda trivial considering your situation though... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
