What does this song mean (anyone speak Dutch?)

Ok, I wanted to see how famous I was, so I typed "howste" into www.google.com. (http://www.google.com.) Among the dozen or so pages it listed was a link to a web page in the Netherlands with song lyrics. My nic is in the title and lyrics of one song. Does anyone know what this means? It's not in any of the languages I speak (English, Japanese, and Southern http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif). I assume it's in Dutch - LMK if you can translate it. NOE HOWSTE MIECH 'T LEECH OET

Jeeeze, Bable Fish wouldn't touch it.

If it is a variation of Dutch, Bable Fish should have tried...but it didn't come up with any words different than the original.

Most German to English translations will get enough Dutch translated to make heads or tails of the text, but not this one.

Maybe there is a site that has a better variation of the Bable Fish translator available.

It's written in a dialect spoken in Limburg. Since I'm from a part where no dialect is spoken, it isn't very easy to understand. I'm currently translating the text to normal Dutch, but what I've tranlated still doesn't make a lot of sense. I've never heard of "Johnny Blenco & Marjo", so perhaps they're terrible song writers. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Hehe, I found some old record covers. Judging from the style of them it looks like Johnny Blenco & Marjo may have been around in the 50's or 60's. Not too surprising that you haven't heard of them. Imagine his surprise when he goes up with his girlfriend, opens the bedroom door and sees his wife having sex with someone else while he was about to... I think "howste" is a few words merged together: hoe, is and de. "Hoe is de" means "how is the".
