Ok i dont know if this is the right place to put it but i thought some of you would like to know..
http://www.msnbc.com/news/617154.asp

Bascially the company who was incharge of the mcdonalds monopoly game stole winning game pieces and gave them to friends. They got aout 13 million out of it.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am kind of glad this happened to McDonalds, only because they need to do SOMETHING with that money. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Whoa dude, McDonald's does LOTS with their money!! They sponsor so many different events and have their Ronald McDonald house! They used to give us lots of free orange drink for our school events. The big boss (forget her name) even donated $2000 to everybody in a town somewhere in the US when their homes were destroyed by something. (I know very vague, but it did happen).

Yes gutter ball I agree with you that they do donate alot of their money but I would suggest that they do one thing that would make me happy atleast. Invest in a R and R project to make their food taste a bit better.

Every time I ate a micky Dee's I end up with and upset stomach. I will not even fo their even though my kids are always wanting a happy meal. I go to hardee's or one of the other ones to get somthing to eat.

just my $.02

Ya know that happens to me all the time too. But only at one, the 2 stand alone ones are always fine but if I visit the one in walmart I'm off to the bathroom.

Sucks.

Pretty good example of "you might get away with it for a while, but eventually you will get caught".

Also a good lesson for those corporate folks who are in charge of such things........always good to have two accountants, two lawyers, etc..... In other words, someone to watch the watcher!!!

Sounds like in this case, McDonalds had exactly that, or they would never have known they (and their customers) were being duped.

Well, lets do a follow up when they come to trial, time served, and small percentage of money recovered. Just cause they are good ol' pals who won't really do som'thn' like that again.

JUST remember (poor) people go to jail when they have the audacity to steal like the rich.

Gutter Ball,
Yes that is true, but when your a multi million (maybe billion) dollar company, that doesn't hurt your wallet.

I try to avoid mcdonalds, try to hit wendys. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I heard... but I don't know if its true... that McDonalds is going to give away $10,000,000, to try to even it a little with their customers. I'm not sure if that is true though.

Yah, it's hard to avoid Mickey D's though. Sunday - Wednesday they have cheapo food and every day they have cheap McChickens!! Taco Bell doesn't taste so good anymore...must've changed their recipes or something, that place gives me MAJOR heartburn!! Too bad us Canadians aren't going to get any of that 10M since the scam only happened in the US :/

In the lawsuit happy USA, the first thing I thought of when I saw this was a class action lawsuit against McDonald's for defrauding their customers.

How long before this comes up?
