One Q---why?

Oh yeah he is a killer athlete thats great to watch, but WHY would he go back to this?

Jeeze if they could only get Rodman again, mix him w/Jordan, would you wanna see that?---it could renew some fun in watchin basketball...

Actually, it'll be the Washington Wizards that he may go back to. He owns that team and would have a vested interest in them. He could go back with Barkley and possibly Hakem.
He missed 4 weeks of training and may not come back now. I'd love to see him come back and get schooled on a nightly basis. I am not a big fan of the NBA and their inflated egos/ticket prices/ salaries...etc.

Just was watchin a classic '95 game and in updated commercial commentary they were speaking of his return---I cant see why he would do that being as successful as he is outside of basketball...

I heard they sold something like 10,000 season tickets to the wizard's stadium just because there is a possibility of jordan playing for em. I have long ago given up sports. Half my writing class wrote about sports as a leter to the editor assignment or something, i decided to write a paper on sports also. it was about how proffessional sports is destroying American's ethics, morals, and beliefs (there was a lot more, something about taking money away from science and the advancement of human knowledge in general, glorifing the uneducated, etc.) I was half pissed off, half depressed, and i'll add another half stoned at the time, so it was actually a pretty **** good paper; at least my prof. thought so. I pissed off some of my classmates, who all seemed to use the expression, "bulls&@t" a lot after reading a few paragraphs. fun, fun, fun.

The basketball games in the '96 Summer Olympics were sweet. The "Dream Team" was totally true.....who was it? Pippen, Rodman (?), Jordan, Barkley...Shaq? Anyways, there were A LOT of really, really good players on that team. They kicked major bootay.

I still got the McDonald's Dream Team cup Wart. I use it all the time. Anybody else got stuff like that?

Jordon would play for the Wizards. Which is great for their salery cap. Jordon, as team owner, gets a nice hunk of change from that position, if he chooses to add his name to the roster, he could pay himself $1 a year and have added room under the cap to land other big name players.

I think I have most of those dream team cups. I don't use them though. Might be worth something to some sucker.

Read in the paper this morn that the rib injury he received took alot outta his possible return, he is supposed to scrimmage with a "select" group of NBA players next week to see how he's feeling---we shall see...

The league minimum is one million dollars isn't it. So if that is the fact he couldn't play for $1 like you said Seti, but I am not sure how the politics with that stupid stuff works.

According to the rules of the NBA Jordan would have to divest himself of ownership before he could play for the Wizards. So his only paycheck would be coming from the team.

He would probably play for the league minimum for his tenure. I think it would be more than 1 million since he has played 10 or more years in the league.

Not that he will be hurting for money. I wonder if he'll get more endorsement deals since he would be playing again? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

On my last note:

I'm thinking he is getting back in the game not for his competitiveness at basketball, but that a chump golfer name Tiger is making more money than he is.

He is competitive and wants to be the endorsement king again. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

jordan would be good for the game...but...It will be sad to see the kids strip him clean. He can't keep up with the small guards, and he's really too old to be getting down low in the post agin. I hope he doesn't come back...we don't need to see another Joe Louis.
