Your system is MORE than capable of handling DVD playback without a separate hardware decoder.

that is right use software or the decoder on your video card i do think it has one on board the v3000 correct me if i am wrong on that and i would go for the 850 and overclock it to a gig and save some bucks that way then sell the v3000 and get a Radeon or a Ge Force 2 video card to make everything up to date

Definately agree on the advice - get a GF2 or a Radeon. while you're at it, bump the soundcard up to an X-gamer or even a Platinum. Sounds like a GREAT system!

with the amount of money he spend, you can built 3 computer with it using duron 700mhz,O/C to 950mhz!!! 44x cdrom, all with 2 harddrive, 17inch monitor. why built 1 expensive computer?hell if you can afford so much built another spending 6000? but why spend so much??? it better to have 2 decent computer then to have 1 that very expensive. sound like a rich dude to me hehe.

BUY A NEW 3D CARD!!!!!!!

Everything past the V2 sucks big time.. Get a sweet Geforce 2 Ultra or an ATI Radion.. With that kinda system you might as well take advantage of it.. Thats one sweet setup, and I want that **** monitor. Dont ruin it with a 3dfx 'product'

Yeah...if you're going for top of the line, you're not gonna want a V3.

As others said, get a Geforce2 GTS. I have the 64mb model. Very nice.

If you want something almost as good but cheaper, get the Geforce2 MX.
