I have a 30GB HardDisk and i want to create a partition say 3 partiotions - 3x10GB.

I dont think fdisk can be used??

Is there any other tool which will do it?

TIA.

FAT16 won't do larger than 2GB, but FAT32 will do much larger, including the 10GB partitions you want. Fdisk can do it - if you are using a Windows boot disk it has to be Win98 or a later version of Win95. When you start Fdisk it will ask you if you want to enable large disk support. Just say Y and go for it.

If you want a program other than Fdisk, Partition Magic is a program that will allow you to tweak your partitions pretty much any way you want them. http://www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic/index.html

Hi

Before creating a boot partition aver 8GB, read this article (assuming you want to run NT, otherwise, please ignore my message):

Windows NT 4.0 Supports Maximum of 7.8-GB System Partition (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q224/5/26.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0)
