I want to remove the stock fan/heat sink from the new PII that comes from Intel already attached. Turning the 4 small screws gets me nowhere - - they just turn and turn......

Short of drilling, any ideas. I have an AOC active peltier to attach.

Thanks!

Get a refund if you can. The 350 is not the best overclocker out there. Just a little advice.
How to remove the fan, i donīt know.

The screws shud do it, the do on mine no problem. It sounds like they have stripped the thread somehow. Think u prob have to send it bak.

Thanks, I went ahead and drilled them out. No big deal. So, what is the best CPU to over clock?? Everybody seems to have their own opinion.

Thanks

Definatly not a Pentium II 350. I have one and it SUCKS when it comes to overclocking it. Vurtually impossible.

For overclockers Celeron are the way to go. I have a Celeron 333Mhz.(oem) that got to 500Mhz. preatty cool with only cheap heat sink and fan.

The PII 350 (x117MHz)may not be the best cpu out there, nut mine's running fine at 410MHz, the machine sounds like a pratt & whitney on start up, but soon settles down. The only thing slowing me down is the memory, anyone know how to stop this?
