235,000 monthly page views is very good. I wouldn't worry about counting hits though, all you have to do is add an image or two to each page and you'll increase your "hits" dramatically, while doing nothing for actual traffic.

I've set my own stats to ignore all images (jpg, gif, etc.) and other detritus. But agreed, hits are deceptive; it's page views which really count.
