Ok, I'm a little confused about creating a "Public" drive on an NT Server 4.0 SP4. Here's what I want to do:

I got a separate partition called Public (NTFS). In that drive I want to have a folder called Public and let all my users be able to map it. Inside Public I want to create different folders with different permissions, let's call them folder A, B and C. Now I don't want these folders mapped, or I don't want my users mapping to it. Also, I don't want them putting files directly inside the public folder, I want to force them to use their respective folders. I got four groups of users, AA, BB, CC and AABBCCDD. AABBCCDD is AA, BB, CC and anyone else who's not part of any group combined. Now, I want AA to be able to create/edit/read/delete files on A folder, BB and CC need to have read-only permissions. Same goes with the B and C folders. In other words, I want any group to have create/edit/read/delete permissions in their folder, and have read-only on someone else's, hence public. Any help is appreciated.

More questions:
1. What is the difference between share and security permissions aside from security allows you to specify permissions down to a single file? How does one affect the other?
2. How does setting share permissions on a folder affect the files and directories inside it?
