What overclocks better? P!!! 450 or 550?

I heard that both have the same core but the P!!! 550 are way too expensive. But i might spend a bit more if it can hit 682MHZ. But i'd get the 450 if the chances are low.

I don't know much abour the P3's, but I think 682 (5.5*124) is a long shot since they're still using .25 micron fabrication at this point.

But I've heard that the P3 450 on the other hand, can hit 558 (4.5*124) a lot of the time.

Are you a gambling man? If so then try the 550 although I think the .25 micron Deshutes core maxes out at around 600MHz, that's why Coppermine is being released.
Most 450's easily overclock to 560 and some are doing 600 with the right memory and MB, I'd go that route and save the cash for a future Coppermine upgrade.

I found one reference to a P3 550 hitting 682. It was a malaysian SL3FJ @ 2.2v, no other info given.

Whoa, fsb at 133mhz.That's pretty impressive but i think that i'd have to cool that **** L2 cache right?

Abt that coppermine thing. When would be released? Before the end of the yr?
Well it looks like a 450MHZ is my best bet.

Coppermine PIII533/600 133MHz FSB due in September. Maybe sooner if pressure from AMD dictates.
