I sincerely hope I have not offended anyone (and I apologize if I have). I'm just trying to understand. This kind of charge is rare, as far as I know, with women. I, for one, hope this turns out to be completely spurious. Her reputation seems to be good.

I don't think you offended anyone, but to me anyways, it appeared to be heading that way. Unfortunately people of all types of sexual orientation molest children, I don't think it's fair to assume any one group is more or less guilty than another.

I've always been a fan of Paula's. I've seen her a few times in small comedy clubs around here. When you see her in person she's got such a likeable, even loveable personality. If she is innocent of the charges then I hope the truth comes out soon. And I really hope that one day we can find a way to keep the press from destroying people's lives before the facts are known.

However, if she is guilty then I hope she gets the help she needs and/or the punishment she deserves.

I find it amazing gay celebs have access to adopting kids more readily then other folk, Rosie did it (multiple adoptions) Paula did it (multiple adoptions) Jackson has accomplished it in his own "special" way and married hetero prospective parents with fertility probs or otherwise dont have access to these children yet adoptive services give multiple children to these folks---would you want your son/daughter to be adopted/housed by a single gay unmarried person or a fully functional balanced husband and wife if you had a choice???
I dont get it, I have no bias between sexual preference, to each his/her own...but when kids are involved, I think the prospective parents should be scrutinized to the fullest, and a single gay parent for some reason just doesnt seem right, id rather see a child in a balanced happy mother and father situation...

I hope Paula is proven not guilty, but what brought all this on if the kids are taken care of as well as has been reported? WHY would they report otherwise and blow living in the "lap of luxury"???

Single celebrity parents have more money, and more time to spend with children than many married couples do. Certainly, not all of them fall victim to the tabloid lifestyles. Mightn't these extra resources account in some way for these adoptions?

It's probably true that fame opens some doors for them - but then again, how many stories do we read about complete unknowns adopting kids? Yet, there must be some adopting parents out there who aren't famous.

I don't see any inherent benifit to child rearing in the nuclear familiy structure (or any other). Remembering now the "stable" husband/wife nuclear family I was raised in, I would have been happier raised by a single gay man or woman who didn't have the self-loathing and violence that I grew up with.

Then again, I (eventually) learned some terrific lessons - albeit by negative example - and am confident I will be a TERRIFIC parent http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif.

Staying on topic, having seen Paula's enthusiasm for her adopted and foster kids in interviews, I hope that the allegations are unfounded. Heck, I always do. If my hopes be dashed, let justice be swift and sure, blind to her celebrity.

It is possible that one of the foster kids is bitter @ life and decided to teach her a lesson.

Yes, preferably you would want all children to be adopted into a two parent familly. With that said, it does not mean that they will be any more stable than anyone else. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with being a pedaphile. If your a pedaphile you are nothing else but that.

They lobby against the antiquated and unfair laws against adult males having consensual sex with young boys. They believe that a boy of 12 is capable of deciding if he should do the nasty with an adult male. They have no quarrel with the laws about adult pederast and little girls. They understand about the pregnancy issue. Also, they aren't interested in girls.

For the icing on the cake: to my knowledge, the head honcho of this organization has always been a retired educator. Grade school principals; gym teachers, etc.
