...or have I just not checked recently?
Now a 128mb PC100 stick costs at least $108 on Price Watch. Last time I looked, they were around $125.
Then again they might go up again... http://www.cnn.com/2000/ASIANOW/east/08/22/typhoon.03/index.html
Oh yeah, a 64mb PC100 stick is at least $52. They used to be $70. I wanted to get one for my dad's birthday, but I didn't want to pay that high. I guess I'll give it to him for Christmas. Should I get it now or wait 'till closer to Christmas? Think the prices will go up a lot by then?

Ram prices fluctuate a lot. For example, when i bought my current computer, about a year ago, the cheapest i found a 64 mb pc100 stick for was $120. I'm not jokeing, for a while thats what it cost. I bought it cause i didn't think it would go down that fast. 3 months later, it was down to $40, then back up to $100 a few months after that. The prices now may go up or down, i guess its all just supply and demand.

Here in Australia, they have gone down a lot, now, I can pick up a 64mb DIM for about $100 Australian, and a 128mb DIM for about $180 Australian.

Hey, I'm not going to complain, because I can remember 4 to 5 years ago when a 8MB SIMM was running $250, and that was considered cheap.

Hey jpeppers and everyone.
I can remember in 1997, when I bought my EDO SIMMs, I got 2 16 MB chips for $100 ($50 each). A few months later, those same chips for $20 each. Oh, the horror!
I'm still using the same computer (getting my money's worth).

Ram prices go up and down all the time.....
I`m kinda lucky, I managed to secure 512mb for £120! Ok, ok, it fell of the back of a truck, but who`s gonna turn that price down huh?
Here in the UK, at the moment, it`s about £1 for every MB. Althought when you get above 64, is started to get a little cheaper. 64mb is around £60, and 128mb is around £110.....
I wouldn`t say £1 per MB is too bad!.....
