Beemers 08-23-2000, 09:21 AM I can't help you with your problem exactly but I had problems with Media 7. It took over my audio and video extensions entirely and it played back all my sound events rather slow. It joined 2 sound events rather slopily. I have this computer all custom sound evented with my echoeing voice. Media 6.4 did a good job of this after making it auto close after manually playing a .wav file. Registry hack was needed to make it behave like sound32.exe was playing the .wav. 6.4 is still available if you need to roll back. Try downloading it again. silkman 08-23-2000, 09:56 AM Some .avi file require an extra plugin for window media player. Hmm now if I can remember the site where you can download that plugin that would be great dont' you think. Hehehe. Anyways try www.divx.com. (http://www.divx.com.) Solidus 08-23-2000, 01:56 PM I believe what you are talking about is a new type a video file compression called DivX. Here is a link to download the proper codec to view it. http://divx.ctw.cc/index_main.html SysOpt.com
