I am always hearing how information could be transfered from your device to your computer via an Infra Red Device. I wanted to know if anyone here knows where to buy or order infra red devices that I could hook up to my computer. Thank you very much

My work had a whole slug of NECs with infrared ports. I was going to try to use it to sync my Palm, but they removed them all, saying something about they had been recalled because they could start a fire??? I'm sure it was just that particular device though.

Sorry, I'm not any help, but at least your thread goes to the top again!

Most modern motherboards have the backend part (chipset support) for IR. as for buying IR I have truthfully never gone looking for it. Hmmm maybe I will have to go looking http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
