I'm setting up Win98 on a bb unit and I'm reading some of the hogwash.

One thing got me, "Windows 98 now monitors and repairs any registry errors as it runs"
Or something like that.

More accurately, "Windows 98 now corrupts any registry entry as it runs".

They do such a good job of it, they removed the registry backup functionality that existed in 95. No more user.da0 and system.da0.
