Funny thing going on with a p133. I thought that I had to access win95 through a DOS prompt (win or exit, thanks Szech http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif ) but it didnt work! I noticed that the blue cloud screen Win95 briefly but then disappears and leaves me at a c: prompt. The computer has some scuzzee devices displayed on the screen. Why am I jammed at the c: prompt with Win95 appearing only briefly? I tried booting in safe mode and from a floopy but to no avail. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

hmmmm, just "invalid" huh?
If it said "Bad command or file name" or any other known DOS response them *maybe* we could help you. Just the word "invalid" is not a response given by DOS (AFAIK). Makes me wonder if you have some type of virus maybe?
Try going into the windows directory first before you type WIN. INVALID would mean that the command "WIN" you are typing doesn't exist in that directory. It's possible that the command "SETPATH=C:\WIN95" doesnt exist in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. Go to your windows directory first by typing:
CD Win95 (Whatever your windows directory name is..)
and then type WIN.
Hope this helps http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

But if that were the case NDC, it'd give the response "Bad command or file name".

You're Welcome http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif.
I get that too occasionally, and what I think is happening, is that exiting Windows 95 removes certain device drivers, and puts others in (i.e. mouse drivers, cd-rom drivers, etc.). I guess Windows 95 can't reload these drivers when you want to get back into Windows 95 without rebooting. Sucks, I know. Are you doing some activity that requires you to switch between DOS and Windows without rebooting?
