I Just saw the Thermal Take Golden Orb for socket 7. The cooler i use at the moment is one big motherf***** - but its located right under the power suply in me CED case - They fight about the air... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
So... How good is that Golden orb?

I just put one on my duron, at idle and after 3dmark2000 it's been about 1C cooler than the honkin' one it replaced. Using your description; it's a real MF to put on!

First of all, take that Gorb OFF your Duron now. Gorbs are too strong for Duron/T-birds and are cracking the CPU's.
If you want the Duron cooler, get the Chromium Orb. It's designed for T_birds and Durons.
Secondly, yes, Gorbs are excellent. Mine dropped my case temp a good fifteen degrees.
