I've been told about these programs, but how reliable are they? Can they actually partition your drive without having to reload win95, and will the system run properly? Thanks.

MadMatt 08-22-2000, 07:54 AM Partition Magic has always worked fine for me - no problems at all. Donkey 08-22-2000, 08:00 AM Yep partition magc has worked well for me on win 98. Did have a few problems on win NT resizing NTFS partitions. jad1097 08-22-2000, 08:18 AM I have lost everything using PM before but 98% of the time it works fine. Don't forget to back up your hard drives before using PartitionMagic. While PartitionMagic has been thoroughly tested, power failures, operating system bugs, and hardware design bugs can put your data at risk. BEFORE USING ANY UTILITY THAT MAKES SUCH EXTENSIVE CHANGES TO YOUR HARD DISK, YOU SHOULD BACK UP YOUR DATA! Personally, I have never had a problem using PM, but have allways backed up my system before any major changes, just in case. Dave SysOpt.com
