Are there any trusted/reputable websites out there where I can sell a domain I have?

I had a strange one recently when setting up thekingofpain.net--- .com was taken, didnt matter to me really, BUT had a friend tell me he noticed my domain was instantly for sale and found where a guy had as soon as I set the domain up was offering to sell it for 300$!!!
I guess if he had someone bite he would then be approaching me to sell it?
